Embraer’s E-190-E2 in Flight Testing Operations

aE2 2 copy Embraer, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, has begun testing their next generation, updated twinjet transports, known as the E2 series. Three versions of their present line, the E-175, E-190 and E-195 were chosen for upgrades, which include a new wing design, new Pratt and Whitney PurePower PW1700G/PW1900G Geared Turbofan Engines, and software improvements. The E-190-E2 was the first version built, and first flew on May 23, 2016. The larger E-195-E2 just made its first flight on March 29, 2017. The smaller E-175-E2 has yet to make its first flight.
