Airbus Delivers Its Ten Thousandth Airplane

Airbus, part of the large Airbus Group of aviation concerns, delivered their ten thousandth (that’s right – 10,000) aircraft on October 14, 2016. Founded on December 18, 1970, the company (originally known as Airbus Industrie) began with its focus on commercial airliners. It has since expanded into corporate jet versions of their airliners, military aircraft, helicopters, and the field of spacecraft. Initially, the company focused on a new, twin-aisle, medium-ranged airliner, named the A300. 36th Annual ‘Wings Over Camarillo’ Air Show

The 36th annual 'Wings Over Camarillo' air show was held August 20th and 21st at the Camarillo Airport in Southern California. Once known as Oxnard Air Force Base, it is now home to the Experimental Aircraft Association(EAA), the Ventura County 99's, the Ventura County Sheriff Department, and the Commemorative Air Force's Southern California Wing . The airport also houses several general aviation businesses such as Orbitz Helicopters.

Thunder Over Michigan 2016 is in the rear view mirror and in the history books. Thunder 2016 had it all: Mustangs to Migs, Hueys to Hornets, and A10s to Avengers. The highlights were many, from high performance fighters such as the FA-18E/F Super Hornet to the F-22A Raptor, flying maneuvers that are hard to believe possible. The Breitling Jet Team put on a dazzling display of aerial artistry, flying the highly maneuverable L-39 Albatross. The aircraft manufacturer’s “Founders Day” event at Boeing Field, Seattle was the high point of a celebration that had been going on all year. Boeing was officially founded on July 15, 1916, a month after the first flight of the Boeing Model 1 single engine bi-plane seaplane known as the B & W. It was designed by William Boeing and U.S. Navy Lt. Conrad Westervelt.
