British Airways Daily Arrival to KPHX

British Airways has a non-stop flights from London Heathrow (EGLL / LHR) to Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl (KPHX). There is not really a bad spot at the Airport to get a glimpse of this Beautiful aircraft. This British Airways 747 is a Boeing 747-400 and it holds 416 (3-class) or 524 (2-class) 624 (400D, 1-class) and has a Maximum range of 7,260 nmi. E190 JetBlue lands at KGYR

Jason Bong had the privilege of talking with the Honeywell crew as they get ready to depart from KGYR. The crew of Honeywell and JetBlue were not able to discuss about the configuration of the E190. But was able to did find out that it is under the experimental markings. Jason Bong was able to talk to the Operations manager out at Goodyear about the E190 and how excited the airport was about getting its first E190 to KGYR.  The JetBlue E190 will be out at KGYR for approximately 4 to 5 weeks. The Embraer 190 registration # N178JB . The E190 can hold 114 passengers and has a Maximum speed  of 890 km/h and has a Service ceiling 41,000 ft (12,500 m). JetBlue has 47 E190 and 107 on order. So if your in the the West Valley and want to see a clean aircraft stop by and see this aircraft.

Phoenix Air Traffic Control Tower Tour

After my photo of lightning over Sky Harbor Airport was published on Airliners.net on August 29th, 2010, I received a very special email from the Air Traffic Manager of Phoenix Air Traffic Control Tower, Mr. Bob Whitworth. He has been a controller, supervisor, and manager at numerous facilities throughout the nation. After viewing the photo, he asked if I would like to tour the facility. Of course, I said yes! After arriving at the facility with my friend and I, and going through the metal detector, we waited a few moments for Mr. Whitworth to greet us. There are more than 250 total people who work at the PHX ATCT/TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control), which not only includes the controllers, but also supervisors, managers, and support staff...
