Rookie at Red Flag

By: Category: MilitaryRoad trips

Red Flag is a Advanced Aerial Combat Training excercise hosted at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Since 1975, air crew from the United States Air Force and other Us Military branches and US Allies take part in the two week excercise. I have been involved with Phxspotters for just over a year. This was the first time I had the opportunity to really get up and close and feel the power what these Navy aircraft had to offer. I would like to send out a special thanks to my friend Matt and Joe who are the Co-Founders of Arizona Aviation Photographers (AzAP) ,  for giving me a chance to experience something that I might never have the chance to do again. I would also like to give a big thanks to Michelle Dee who is the Public Affairs Officer out at NAF El Centro who worked real hard and got us out there. The day started really early for me, I just got off work at 0200 and rushed home and just had enough time to change and pack my gear and hop in the truck. Off to El Centro CA. I wanted to sleep but I can already feel the excitement boiling in my blood. NO SLEEP for me...Read More
