One year ago today.

One year ago today I received my first DSLR camera for my 35th Birthday. My wife askes me “What are you going to do today?” I laughed, I am going spotting at KPHX, I jump in my truck and off to the airport I go. Here is my very first photos and edits of my pictures.

My photos were well below par. But I did not have a clue what I was doing. So after a day of spotting out at KPHX I head home and I received a call from Joe Kates who is the founder of PHX Spotters.com and we have what felt like a two hour talk on the phone. And he asked me if I would be interested in join the team. He said I am going to call Dave Budd who is our go to guy for the website and is a outstanding photographer and he will get you all set up. I remember one think that makes me laugh every time I think about it, the one thing Joe said to me “Don’t get yourself killed or thrown in jail.” And here we are one year later.

Since joining Phxspotters I have been on a Hot Air Balloon ride, I have got to take a Awesome ride on the Goodyear Blimp, I have seen the Wings of Blue preform.

I just want to give a big thanks to Joe and Dave for helping me and allowing me to take the reins and go with it. I look forward to many more years with you guys.
