Jason had the the chance and get out to KPHX again this week. I was able to talk to one of the Operations Manager of KPHX and they stated ” The holiday traffic doubles in size during the week of Christmas and New Years.” During my tour of Sky Harbor International Airport the Cargo Terminal was loaded with Aircrafts being loaded up and getting ready for departure.

Wings of Blue hits the West Valley

Today I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Wings Of Blue that were out in full force in Buckeye AZ. The Wings of Blue, is the parachuting unit at the United States Air Force Academy, near Colorado Springs, Colorado. The team operates as the 98th Flying Training Squadron,306th Flying Training Group, Air Education and Training Command.

Over the last several decades, the Wings of Blue has been one of the outstanding parachute units in the United States. Since 1967, cadets have dominated national intercollegiate parachuting, winning 21 national championships. They perform about 50 demonstrations each year, and have shown off their skills at the Copper Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and the Pro Bowl and most Air Force Falcons Football games...

Spirit of America Invites Phxspotters.com

What a day Jason Bong and Ben Cowden had this past Friday out a Goodyear Airport. They both were invited to take a special ride up in the Goodyear Blimp the ” Spirit of America”. Ben was the first of the two to get to go up and then Jason went up. When I saw Ben getting out of the Blimp he was ear to ear smile. Phxspotters would like to give a special thanks to our Captain Nathan Brooks, he was outstanding host. We look forward to next year visit.
