Morning light at KPHX

In the next couple months, the Valley of the Sun temperatures will be slowing coming down. And when the temperatures come down it make s for some outstanding Aviation Photography. The next couple weeks will be the start of my spotting season. We look forward to seeing all of the Aviation Spotters at our local airports. British Airways Daily Arrival to KPHX

British Airways has a non-stop flights from London Heathrow (EGLL / LHR) to Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl (KPHX). There is not really a bad spot at the Airport to get a glimpse of this Beautiful aircraft. This British Airways 747 is a Boeing 747-400 and it holds 416 (3-class) or 524 (2-class) 624 (400D, 1-class) and has a Maximum range of 7,260 nmi. The only time that the BA 747 does not come in KPHX is on Wednesdays and the last Thursday of the month.  The pictures in this article were taken from Terminal 4. Coolidge Breakfest Fly-in 2010-2011 season.

Phxspotters Jason Bong and Joe Kates attended the fly-in on October 2nd 2010. The fly-in is held on the first Saturday of every month (except June, July, August and September), Coolidge Aviation, LLC sponsors the fly-in.  Breakfast is served by the Coolidge Lion’s Club in front of the main hangar at the airport.  The event usually starts about 8:00 a.m. and ends around 12:00 p.m. This is a great spotters adventure. Photographers are allowed up close and personal with the runway. Although for safety concerns we are expected to stand 25-35 feet off the runway. Here is just a couple pictures offered by Jason Bong.
